The scholars have stated that raising one’s voice and speaking loud in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) in order to show disrespect to him, may lead to Kufr (disbelief) which destroys one’s good deeds. It means that if one raises his voice above the Prophet’s voice or he addresses him without respect, then he should fear that he may lose his good deeds while he is totally unaware of it. The verse further states, ‘ lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not’. As such, they must not address him as ‘Yaa Muhammad’, but should say, ‘Yaa Rasoolullah’ or ‘Yaa Nabiyallah’, in order to show respect to his rank and status in the sight of Allah. They must show respect in their speech and speak to him in a quiet and low tone, without raising their voices.Īdditionally, they must not address him by his name or his nickname (agnomen) as they address each other. They must also not speak to him in a loud manner as they would normally speak to one another. In this verse, Allah informs the believers that when they speak to the Prophet (ﷺ), they must lower their voices, and must not raise it above the voice of the Prophet (ﷺ). O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet ﷺ, nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not.In public schools where lewdness, crimes and violence are commonplace, our Institute offers a stable environment where values like discipline, good conduct and morals are entwined within the curriculum, so that our graduates will be able to face the moral and spiritual challenges of our society Besides the ancillary staff, there are 19 teachers at the Girls College.Īt Darul Uloom, along with an Islamic and Academic education, great emphasis is placed on Islamic morals and values. This includes foreign students from Guyana, Suriname and Barbados.
The present enrolment at the Darul Uloom Girls’ College is 166 of which 15 are boarding. Besides the ancillary staff, there are 26 teachers at the Boys’ College. This includes foreign students from United States of America, Guyana, Suriname and Canada.Įnrolment in the part-time classes is 236 students. Both Institutes offer full-time and part-time tuition and have facilities for boarding.Īt present, full-time enrolment at the Boys’ College is 140, of which 17 are resident on the compound. The Darul Uloom consists of a Boys’ College at Rashaad Avenue, Mon Plasir Road, Cunupia, and a Girls’ College at Cunupia Street, Southern Main Road, Cunupia.
